I am so happy to say that my all time favorite is trending – the pointy toed stiletto!!!!
Also trending – velvet shoes for evening, bling and embellishments galore and lastly platforms look to be on the way out. Bold colors and animal prints especially leopard are in. Boots and booties will showcase shearling in all the right places. Lastly, over the knee boots will be here while fashion sneakers stick around going bold with lots of color and pattern.
Best options to add to your collection:
- A classic black pointy toed stiletto.
- A classic stiletto pump in a fabulous leopard print. The popular color for Fall is black, and nothing makes a little black dress more chic than a pair of leopard shoes.
As stated in my book, “every woman needs an animal print shoe.” Why, because the “leopard pump” is now considered to be an all time classic fashion item. These awesome prints have been on the scene since the late 1940’s and I’d be willing to bet they’ll be around for many years to come. A classic animal print shoe will serve you well.
Look for sky high heels ladies. Looks like these great pumps will be reaching heights of 7 inches. Although fabulous looking, please be cautious. These heel heights will be hard on the arches, ankles, knees and potentially backs. Always have a back up pair of shoes if you opt for these heights.
For those who fear the sky high heel, you are in luck because also trending is the timeless ballerina flat bumped up a notch. This season you’ll be seeing lots of bling, bows, feathers, ruffles and a variety of other “things” added to this staple.
Bold and edgy cage/gladiator booties are still on trend. You’ll see them with stiletto heels and refined feminine design.
Cork looks to be out and wood is in. You’ll see lighter wooden heels and soles to compliment the darker hued vamps.
Robert Frost said, “You have miles to go before you sleep.” I say, “You have miles to go before you sleep, so sport a great pair of shoes while on that trek!”
