Did you know that it’s New York Fashion Week? Well it just started and they are showcasing what we’ll be seeing in the fall of 2014. I know, it’s a long way off and I’d really like to get into some warmer weather and all the great sandals, but it’s interesting to see what’s going to be on trend next fall. So far, it looks like boxier styles, deep jewel tone hues, leather and low hemlines. There was a bit of fur, wintery velvet, metallics, classic silhouettes and sparkle (aka bling). There were lots of classic shoes and some chunky footwear. Coach has come out with a ready to wear line that has promise and isn’t covered in “C’s”. It will be interesting to see what trickles down from the runways for the everyday folk and fun to see what the rest of the week will bring.
